St. Bernard parish, in coordination with the Diocese of Providence and public agencies, seeks to provide a safe environment for all youth. It is mandatory that every volunteer, teacher, coach, moderator and staff member must have clearance to interact with children or participate in any and all youth activities, events or experiences.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:
Fill out a BCI Form return it to the Parish Office, care of the Office of Religious Education, with a copy of a valid driver’s license (front and back), passport or governmental ID.

Fill out the Safe Environment for Youth Checklist and return it to the
Parish Office, care of the Office of Religious Education.
Please sign the last page of the “Sexual Misconduct Policy Extract” and return it along with the other forms on the checklist.
A volunteer has clearance to participate in events only after the Diocese of Providence Office of Education and Compliance has received and approved the BCI Form and Compliance Completion Form. BCI compliance for all volunteers is good for three (3) years from the date of approval from the Office of Education and Compliance.
